Job summary

RecruitME is seeking a Plant & HGV Maintenance Engineer for a major MOD contract based in Woodbridge, Suffolk. The role covers servicing, maintenance, inspections and fault-finding across a diverse fleet of plant and materials-handling equipment, including forklifts, telehandlers and excavators.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing plant machinery and heavy equipment.
• Fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Qualified at Level 3 engineering or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Willing to participate in the Sponsored Reserve scheme.
• Experience in Armed Forces welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Perform mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Maintain engines, braking, steering and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect and test machinery for safe operation.
• Keep accurate service records and maintenance documentation.
• Support fleet reliability and availability.
