BT plc in Chippenham is seeking a Customer Solutions Design Specialist to design and deliver secure, multi‑vendor network solutions for Defence programmes. You will lead the technical direction, engage with senior stakeholders and translate business needs into practical architectures.

You’ll work with Solution Architects, Operations and Security teams, coach colleagues, and drive governance through peer reviews while shaping end‑to‑end designs from concept to delivery in a fast‑moving,

Qualifications

• Production of high- and low-level solution designs translating business needs into secure architectures.
• Knowledge of enterprise security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS security, VPNs, secure web gateways, zero trust, load balancing, application security).
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to lead multi-vendor projects.

Responsabilités

• Produce high- and low-level design from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with customer to translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Lead complex, bespoke projects.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Create statements of work and bills of materials.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership to TDAs and design teams.
• Drive design assurance through peer reviews and governance check points.
• Plan and cost resource requirements against deliverables.
