Job summary

MERITUS is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our sovereign defence client based in Stevenage on an initial 12 month contract as they continue scaling against increased demand.

You must come from either a skilled apprenticeship background, have BEng in Engineering or possess significant Manufacturing experience. The role requires SAP experience and is inside IR35 with a £35 per hour rate, 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong manufacturing engineering background with experience in multi-project environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products are built efficiently and to budget.
• Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions.
• Design, Commission and prove tooling.
• Support validation using FMEA/FAI.
• Resolve technical problems during manufacturing.
• Manage route card changes due to rework.
• Control embodiment of design changes in Manufacturing Instructions.
• Support Non-Conformance Process using SAP.
