Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, ESS Defence division, is seeking an ambitious Chef to deliver exceptional food experiences on a full-time 37.5-hour week. You will prepare and serve high-quality meals, oversee menu changes, and drive improvements in our food services.

You will join a team that values progression and rewards effort. A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, a Food Hygiene certificate, and prior supervision experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve our services.
• Supporting creation of new menus and creative concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
