Job summary

Amentum is seeking highly capable Project Managers to deliver defence infrastructure and built environment projects across the North of the UK. You will support complex programmes, maintain governance, and drive delivery within time and budget while collaborating with government and industry stakeholders.

Travel across the region is expected, with hybrid and remote working options available to balance site visits with office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Significant track record delivering projects on time, cost, and quality.
• Ability to operate autonomously, build relationships and lead.
• Consultancy focus with skill in identifying client requirements and opportunities.
• Knowledge of P3M methodologies and their application.
• Coaching and mentoring capability.
• Ability and willingness to attain UK security clearance (resident in UK for 5 years).

Responsibilities

• Understand and deliver in accordance with organisational policies, processes, and procedures.
• Support development and assurance of business cases as part of wider approvals.
• Analyse, develop, and manage timely, cost‑effective delivery of client projects.
• Influence and expedite client project delivery through planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Identify assumptions and dependencies and manage risk.
• Support identification of slippage and implement remedial actions with compliance to safety and policy.
• Champion programme delivery strategies and commercial vehicles for outcomes.
• Ensure delivery of services through engineering, project controls, commercial and financial support.
• Maintain project records and apply learning from experience.
