Job summary

Amentum is seeking experienced Project Managers to deliver defence infrastructure and built environment projects across the North of the UK, including Manchester and surrounding regions. You will support planning, coordination, and execution of high‑profile programmes in a highly regulated setting with a mix of client sites and hybrid/remote flexibility.

Responsibilities include governance, business case assurance, and proactive delivery management, with frequent stakeholder engagement and focus

Qualifications

• Significant track record of delivering projects on time, cost, and quality.
• Autonomous work style with strong relationship skills.
• Consultancy focus with ability to identify and develop client requirements.
• Expertise in P3M practices and applying them to defence environments.
• Proven coaching/mentoring capabilities.
• Willingness to attain UK security clearance and be resident in the UK for the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Understand and deliver in line with organisational policies and procedures.
• Support business case development and assurance as part of approvals.
• Analyse and manage timely, cost-effective delivery of client projects.
• Influence and expedite delivery through planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Identify assumptions/dependencies and manage risk and contingency actions.
• Coordinate services across technical, engineering, and commercial functions.
