Job summary

Babcock, based at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth, UK, seeks an Information Security Lead to oversee assurance across major infrastructure projects and to align plans with recognised frameworks. The role is full-time, 35 hours per week, on-site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

You will manage security risks, produce assurance artefacts, and support audits, bids and security improvement initiatives while engaging with Ministry of Defence representatives.

Qualifications

• Essential experience as Information Security Lead.
• Proven information security assurance experience in regulated or defence environments.
• Ability to manage and mitigate risks in complex environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of UK security standards including government and defence frameworks.
• Experience producing security documentation and assurance artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain assurance plans aligned with recognised frameworks.
• Support audits, bids and ongoing security improvement initiatives.
• Manage security risks, controls and evidence to support compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders, including Ministry of Defence representatives, on assurance activities.
