Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking an In-Service Support Engineer to join a small team and collaborate with front-line operators and design teams. You will diagnose complex faults, manage technical queries, and lead investigations to ensure continuous availability, reliability and safety of deployed defence systems.

You will interact with military end-users, procurement bodies and internal project managers, providing rapid engineering solutions while maintaining safety-critical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or extensive relevant engineering experience.
• 3+ years in engineering support, sustaining or systems integration.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with defence standards and safety-critical processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and fault investigations from the field.
• Calculate spares and repairs requirements to maintain availability.
• Review data to identify reliability trends with design teams.
• Update engineering documents and repair schemes to defence standards.
• Monitor component obsolescence and mitigation.
• Liaise with military end-users and procurement bodies.
