Job summary
Electus Recruitment Solutions invites you to join a specialist defence engineering team in Bristol, focusing on advanced imaging systems. You will research, develop and evaluate computer vision and image processing algorithms, applying AI/ML techniques to challenging imaging problems in a secure environment.
The role requires a strong mathematical background and experience with Python or MATLAB; Simulink or PyTorch is a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills applicable to engineering problems.
- Knowledge of computer vision, image processing, ML or DL techniques.
- Experience using Python or MATLAB; familiarity with Simulink or PyTorch is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop and evaluate image processing and computer vision algorithms for defence applications.
- Apply AI and ML techniques to complex imaging challenges.
- Explore image segmentation, object tracking, detection and classification methods.
- Use mathematical modelling and algorithm evaluation to improve system performance.
- Collaborate with engineers from different disciplines to assess emerging tech.
- Contribute to technical innovation and deeper expertise in algorithms.
