Job summary
Vivo Defence seeks an experienced HVAC Engineer to maintain, repair and improve critical HVAC systems across RAF Fairford and RAF Welford. The role involves planned maintenance, inspections, and minor installation work, with documentation via PDA/tablet systems and RAMS submission.
The engineer will work in a defence environment, liaising with military personnel and DIO, ensuring safety, compliance and reliability of assets, with occasional mentoring of apprentices.
Qualifications
- Qualified HVAC professional with City & Guilds in Air Conditioning or equivalent.
- F-Gas Category 1 and Safe Handling of Refrigerants qualifications.
- Full UK driving licence; ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
- Experience in HVAC maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (COSHH, RIDDOR).
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and improve HVAC systems at RAF Fairford and RAF Welford.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections.
- Carry out minor installation and refurbishment works.
- Maintain records using PDA/tablet-based systems and RAMS.
- Support apprentices and share technical knowledge.
