Job summary

Quest Global in the United Kingdom is seeking an Account Delivery Manager to lead a large, on-site engineering delivery function for a Defence client. You will balance delivery performance, financials, and stakeholder engagement while coaching a growing multi-disciplinary team.

You will foster a trusted customer relationship, scale capability, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across construction engineering, facilities maintenance, and long-term capability programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM is required.
• Senior experience leading engineering delivery in Defence or other highly-regulated environments.
• Proven ability to manage large operational teams, KPIs and complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of engineering project lifecycle management and workflows.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor.
• Experience driving throughput improvements and service robustness at scale.
• Ability to manage upward and downward in large delivery teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• PM qualifications such as APMP are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery performance across all engineering support activities, ensuring outputs are on time, quality, and cost.
• Lead and manage a large, multi-disciplinary on-site team, scaling as demand increases.
• Build a strong, trusted partnership with the Defence client and stakeholders.
• Recruitment, onboarding, and building team culture; manage cohesion.
• Ensure engineering records and data are accurate and aligned with customer needs.
• Monitor performance, identify risks/opportunities, drive interventions to meet KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maximise productivity and streamline workflows.
• Grow the service by identifying opportunities and piloting new workstreams.
• Meet financial targets including utilisation, budget adherence and margin improvement.
• Engage and develop teams with clear expectations and growth pathways.
• Foster effective cross-site communication and report to leadership.
