Job summary

Ministry of Defence Housing is seeking an experienced Domestic Plumber to join the accommodation team in the Bristol area, covering SFA and MFH properties across Gloucester, Lyneham and Swindon. You will be responsible for repairs, maintenance and installations with a focus on first-time fixes.

The role requires NVQ Level 2/3, a full UK driving licence and BPSS clearance eligibility, with a Monday–Friday, 40-hour week and a 1-week-in-three call-out rota including standby payments.

Qualifications

• Qualified plumber with experience in domestic repairs and maintenance.
• Experience across occupied and void properties preferred.
• Customer-facing with ability to work independently.
• Eligibility to obtain BPSS clearance due to security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations across SFA and MFH properties.
• Diagnose leaks, faults and issues in domestic plumbing systems.
• Replace sanitary ware and related components.
• Maintain heating and hot water systems and perform fault finding.
