Job summary

VIVO Defence Services is seeking a Domestic Heating Engineer to maintain and repair oil and LPG/gas boiler heating systems across RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall, and Feltwell. You will self-schedule via tablet, ensure compliance and energy efficiency, and perform planned and reactive maintenance.

You will supervise contractors, uphold health and safety standards, and keep plant rooms safe and tidy while delivering a first-class service.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Engineering qualification (HNC, ONC, City & Guilds, or equivalent) essential.
• Gas Safe registration and experience with domestic heating systems (oil-fired boilers, gas).
• LPG gas systems qualification desirable.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, Building Management Systems and safe electrical isolation desirable.
• Ability to read schematics and accurately record work on digital systems.
• Flexible, team-focused approach and excellent communication skills.
• DBS and SC security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair oil and LPG/gas boiler heating systems across RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall, and Feltwell.
• Self-schedule tasks via tablet and ensure assets are compliant, energy-efficient, and within design parameters.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to meet SLAs.
• Supervise contractors and sub-contractors and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Keep plant rooms and technical spaces safe, tidy, and operational while providing first-class service.
