Job summary

PSM Recruitment is seeking a Logistics Coordinator (Defence Control Tower) to oversee time-critical defence logistics across Europe and worldwide, ensuring schedules, regulatory compliance and customer deadlines are met.

In this fast-paced role you will maintain operational visibility of shipments, coordinate daily Control Tower activities, and ensure secure handling of defence cargo. An on-call rota is involved.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of freight procedures, customs regulations, Incoterms and shipping docs.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with problem-solving ability.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage defence logistics solutions across Europe and worldwide.
• Coordinate daily Control Tower activities and ensure SOP compliance.
• Maintain real-time visibility of active shipments and critical moves.
• Ensure secure, compliant handling of defence cargo and licensing requirements.
• Liaise with internal teams, customers and partners to resolve queries.
• Participate in on-call rota to support after-hours operations.
