Job summary

Babcock offers a challenging Bid Coordinator role at Devonport Royal Dockyard, near Plymouth, with hybrid working options. You will coordinate high-value bids, align cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, compliant submissions supporting national defence programmes.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in bid coordination, familiarity with UK MOD processes, and strong governance know-how within engineering or defence settings.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ bid coordination or proposal support experience.
• Strong governance knowledge including Shipley reviews and gate processes.
• Familiarity with UK MOD procurement portals and contracting mechanisms.
• Experience in complex, large-scale defence/engineering environments.
• Willingness to travel within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bid management plans, schedules and documentation for a major Defence programme.
• Organise bid meetings including procurement management, Kick-Offs, reviews and stakeholder engagements.
• Manage procurement portals and ensure timely submission of bid materials.
• Produce regular bid reports and track milestones and deliverables.
• Support Gates 0–6 approvals within the bid lifecycle.
