Job summary

UK Connect Defence is seeking a Defence Account Manager to build strong relationships with Defence users and turn requirements into commercial opportunities. You will spend much of your time with military users, visiting units, attending meetings and demonstrations to understand field usage and gaps.

You will collaborate with the Business Development team, engineers and product teams to shape solutions and drive engagements into trials and wider deployments. Regular UK travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Recent and credible UK Armed Forces experience or continued involvement in Defence.
• Strong understanding of operations at the tactical edge.
• Credibility with military users.
• Experience using, deploying or evaluating technology in operational environments.
• Interest in communications, sensing and tactical technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop Defence Accounts: Build long-term relationships with users, units and stakeholders.
• Spend Time with Users: Understand operations, equipment in use and gaps.
• Demonstrate Technology: Present UKCD products and partner tech to users.
• Support Trials: Organise evaluations, exercises and field trials and gather feedback.
• Identify Opportunities: Turn user problems into projects or commercial opportunities.
• Shape Solutions: Translate operational needs into technical concepts with engineers.
• Grow Accounts: Expand trials into other units or capability areas.
• Support Commercial Activity: Provide user context to progress opportunities through proposals.
• Feedback Into Product Development: Bring user insights for future products.
• Represent UKCD: Attend meetings, trade shows and industry events.
