Job summary

Bridgeman Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer with Deep Drainage expertise for major civil engineering projects. You will install deep drainage networks and work within a safety-focused site team.

The role requires reading drainage drawings, setting out routes with lasers, and installing manholes and chambers. A minimum of 2 years in similar work and a valid CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pipe Layer in deep drainage.
• Valid CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card mandatory.
• Ability to read drainage drawings and gradients.
• Safety-conscious with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install deep drainage systems including storm, foul, and surface water networks.
• Lay pipes to specification and tolerances.
• Read and interpret drainage drawings and plans.
• Set out pipe routes using lasers and surveying equipment.
• Check gradients and levels against design requirements.
• Install manholes, inspection chambers, catch pits, headwalls.
• Maintain watertight joints and proper seals.
• Backfill and compact trenches according to specs.
• Assist plant operators and banksmen during lifting.
• Identify and avoid underground utilities.
• Repair and maintain drainage systems as required.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
