Job summary

Search Consultancy is recruiting a reliable Drainage Labourer to support our civil engineering teams across Middlesbrough. You will assist the drainage gang with pipe laying, trench preparation, and deep drainage installations on fast-paced projects.

A valid CSCS card and full orange hi-visibility PPE are required, along with a commitment to safety, reliability, and hard work in varied site conditions. Long local work with weekly pay is on offer.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card mandatory.
• Full Orange Hi-Vis PPE (jacket/vest and trousers), Safety Glasses, Hard Hat, Steel Toe Cap Boots.
• Experience on civil engineering sites, around deep drainage or supporting groundworkers is desirable.
• Strong work ethic, physically fit, punctual and able to commit to a full day on site.

Responsibilities

• Gang Support: assist with pipe laying, trench prep and deep drainage installations.
• Material Handling: move pipework, bedding materials, aggregate and fittings around site.
• Excavation & Shoring Support: assist with trench boxes and shoring systems for safe trenches.
• Site Maintenance: keep trenches, access routes and storage areas clear.
