Job summary

Circle Decontamination - Aylesford is part of Circle Health Group, providing sterile equipment for surgical procedures across England and Glasgow. The unit runs 24/7 with rotating days and nights. We have an opportunity for a Unit Trainer to join the Decontamination team.

You will deliver training programmes, assess staff competency, supervise and mentor, and embed learning into daily performance. 37.5 hours, permanent, salary up to £28,500 depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and planning skills in a busy environment.
• Proven experience delivering training or teaching sessions.
• Sound knowledge of sterile services and endoscopy reprocessing.
• Awareness of decontamination legislation, standards and best practice.
• Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use blended learning approaches to meet learner needs.
• Proficiency with IT systems, Microsoft Office and e-learning platforms.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Deliver training programmes for decontamination staff, ensuring consistency and alignment with national and corporate standards.
• Provide effective “hands‑on” training to ensure staff competency and confidence in sterile services and endoscopy reprocessing.
• Carry out competency reviews, assessments, and revalidation of staff skills to ensure safe practice.
• Provide professional and teaching supervision, coaching, and mentoring to develop both new and experienced staff.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging continuous professional development across the unit.
• Work closely with management teams to embed training into operational performance and quality frameworks.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
