Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) invites applications for a DSD Technician based at the Oxford Road site in Manchester. You will undertake decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and distribution of medical devices for operating theatres and other departments across the Trust.

No specific qualifications are required; a background in sterile services is useful, and we provide a comprehensive induction and ongoing training programme.

• Ability to perform manual handling safely.
• Meticulous and methodical approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilise and distribute medical devices for operating theatres and departments.
• Ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with the Department’s quality system.
• Maintain adherence to production procedures and safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement and training as part of induction.
