The Decontamination Services Hub within East Lancashire Hospitals requires decontamination technicians to work mainly within the Hospital Endoscopy Decontamination Services and at times within the Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit (HSDU).
You will be responsible for providing sterile surgical instruments, scopes, surgical supplies, and clean laundry and linen. Our services are used by the Trust's many wards, departments, and operating theatres. We also provide a service to external healthcare providers. These supplies are essential for good patient care.
The department has a Quality Management System, work procedures, and standard procedures. All work takes place to a high standard, quickly and accurately to meet the demands of operating theatres, wards, and departments.
