We are currently recruiting for a Decontamination Services Technician to support clinical activity and excellence in patient safety by providing a controlled Decontamination Service for reusable medical devices at the hospital. This position is permanent and part time.

You will be expected to contribute and support the department’s best practice and continuous improvements.
As our DS Technician, you’ll plan and prioritize your workload with consideration to the DS Team and the needs of our patients, working in accordance with the department’s Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management System.
You will play a vital part in reprocessing reusable surgical instruments and operating decontamination equipment safely, carrying out routine daily tests as set out in the DS Planned Preventative Maintenance and periodic testing schedule.
Using the electronic and tradability system, you will accurately record information and report breakdowns and resource issues in a timely manner.
