Job summary

CRBN Solutions, the decarbonisation consultancy arm of the Morris & Spottiswood Group, seeks an Associate Consultant in Mechanical & Energy Services. You will guide clients toward decarbonisation targets, lead the discipline, and build a dedicated team as the business grows.

Strong leadership, client engagement and problem-solving are essential. The role offers hybrid working across the UK, with opportunities to shape technical strategy and develop new services while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in mechanical/building services engineering design and delivery.
• Low carbon heat expertise with heat pumps and building electrification.
• Experience in building performance and operational energy modelling to support decarbonisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical & Energy Services discipline and deliver projects.
• Establish and recruit the future Mechanical & Energy Services team aligned with growth plans.
• Engage with clients, manage projects from inception to completion, and drive decarbonisation strategies.

Education

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.

Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) with relevant professional institution.

Demonstrable experience in mechanical/building services engineering design and delivery.

Low carbon heat expertise, including heat pump and building electrification solutions.

Experience undertaking building performance and operational energy modelling to support decarbonisation strategies

Experience mentoring, managing or developing technical staff.

Experience contributing to business development, bids and fee proposals.
