Role Overview

The Analyst, Decarbonization plays a key role in supporting the Corporation's strategic and operational efforts to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and advance sustainability across cruise operations. This position blends analytical rigour with technical insight, helping cross-functional teams make informed decisions on fuel strategy, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, the position will contribute to the development of decarbonization initiatives through data analysis, modelling and reporting, supporting technical subject matter experts and senior leadership in decision-making. It is an excellent opportunity for a quantitatively minded individual to build technical expertise and gain broad exposure while working closely with engineers, subject matter experts and senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, quantitative aptitude, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This pivotal role will include:

Data Analysis, Modelling, and Reporting:

  • Conduct quantitative analysis of fuel consumption, emissions profiles, and energy efficiency performance to develop internal and external GHG targets

  • Develop reports and dashboards to track progress versus targets

  • Support internal and external reporting requirements, including sustainability disclosures and regulatory submissions

Technical Programs Analysis and Reporting:

  • Support subject matter experts with analysis and progress reporting of energy efficiency programs

  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis, scenario modelling, and other quantitative evaluations

  • Coordinate with the Performance Engineering department on the development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Project and Initiative Support and Coordination:

  • Prepare meeting materials, track action items, and contribute to group deliverables

  • Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Facilitate information sharing across the Decarbonization Working Group and its subgroups

Ad Hoc Analysis:

  • One-time or exploratory analysis to answer emerging business and technical questions

Investigate industry fuel consumption and provide competitor benchmarking insights

Collect and maintain information on broader maritime fuels and technology markets

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in naval architecture, marine engineering, economics or another quantitative discipline, and will demonstrate analytical potential and an inquisitive nature. They will be proficient in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Python or similar platforms) and able to present findings clearly and simply. They will also be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and across different levels of the organisation.

Positioned within our internal structure from CCS15 (entry level) to CCS1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK09 and is offered on a permanent, full-time basis. We offer hybrid working, including up to two days from home.

  • An engineering, technical or other quantitative background, which may include engineering, economics, naval architecture, marine engineering, chemical engineering or a comparable subject.

  • Approximately two to five years’ experience within a technical, engineering, marine or related environment is preferred. Understanding of fuel, emissions, energy efficiency or technical performance would be beneficial.
