Decant Officer needed in North London, paying £18 per hour, ref 1548920

Full-time hours on a temporary basis

  • We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Decant Officer to support the smooth relocation of residents during housing refurbishment, redevelopment, or regeneration projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan and manage the decanting process for tenants and leaseholders, ensuring minimal disruption.
    • Liaise with residents, housing officers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate moves.
    • Assess individual housing needs and provide tailored support throughout the relocation process.
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with housing policies and legal requirements.
    • Monitor progress and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on schedule.
    • Support the delivery of temporary and permanent rehousing solutions.
  • About You:
    • Ideally, experience in housing, relocation, or tenant liaison roles.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism is beneficial.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of housing legislation and decant policies is desirable.
