Job summary

G2 Legal Limited is partnering with a Manchester-based specialist debt recovery law firm to recruit an Associate/Solicitor. The role suits a Solicitor or CILEX-qualified lawyer with experience in debt recovery, civil litigation or related area, to join a collaborative, commercially focused practice.

You will manage your own caseload of asset-based lending and debt recovery matters, drafting letters before action, court documentation and advising clients on options, while progressing cases to

Responsibilities

We are working with a specialist debt recovery law firm in Manchester that is continuing to grow and is looking to add an Associate/Solicitor to its team.

This is a great opportunity for a Solicitor or CILEX-qualified lawyer with experience in debt recovery, civil litigation or a related area to join a collaborative and commercially focused practice.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of asset-based lending and debt recovery matters, working with clients to progress cases efficiently and achieve successful outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of debt recovery and asset-based lending matters
• Drafting letters before action, legal correspondence and court documentation
• Reviewing case information and advising clients on available legal options
• Preparing matters for negotiation, settlement and litigation
• Liaising with clients, external stakeholders and internal teams
• Progressing cases in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
• Maintaining accurate case management records
• Supporting colleagues with more complex matters
• Contributing to ongoing process improvements within the team

About You

We are looking for someone who is personable, hardworking and commercially minded, with the ability to manage a structured caseload and work effectively to deadlines.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in debt recovery, civil litigation, consumer law or a related area
• Strong drafting and written communication skills
• Good organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to manage multiple matters and prioritise effectively
• Good attention to detailA professional and client-focused approach
• Experience using case management systems and standard office software
• A relevant legal qualification, such as Solicitor or CILEX
