Job summary

The National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux in London is seeking a Money Advice Technical Supervisor to lead our debt and money advice services in Southwark. This permanent, office-based role provides a hands-on opportunity to shape frontline practice and ensure high-quality guidance. You will mentor advisers, conduct audits, and manage complex cases while aligning with FCA regulations and local objectives. The role offers 35 hours per week and a salary in the SO2 range.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience delivering specialist money or debt advice.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or checking other advisers.
• Ability to manage a challenging caseload and meet targets.
• Sensitivity to clients from diverse backgrounds and ability to negotiate with third parties.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Assurance with file reviews and audits.
• Provide daily guidance, coaching, and feedback to advisers and volunteers.
• Oversee high-level casework including DROs, bankruptcy, and housing arrears.
• Drive team performance to meet local project targets and deliver impact.
