Not For Profit People seeks an experienced Debt Adviser to join as a Money Advice Caseworker in West Sussex. Hybrid working considered; salary £29,000 per annum, pro rata for part-time, with full or part-time options (30–37 hours, Mon-Fri).

The role delivers debt advice and casework to clients, helping them understand options and take steps to resolve financial difficulties, with compassionate, practical support throughout.

Qualifications

• Experience of debt, money, welfare benefits, or related advice work.
• Knowledge of debt services, creditor negotiation, and financial capability support.
• Empathetic communicator and able to handle difficult conversations.
• Organised, resilient, and adaptable with good numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality debt advice and casework to clients.
• Assess financial circumstances and prepare realistic budgets.
• Identify priority debts and negotiate with creditors.
• Support clients to understand options and take positive steps.
