Job description

A career in our Merger and Acquisition Tax practice within Tax services offers you the opportunity to assist clients in managing their tax obligations across various specialized areas. You will advise on local and international tax matters, serve as a strategic consultant in business analysis, indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Our team supports clients through different stages of mergers and acquisitions, including restructuring, divestiture, partnerships, and insolvency. Your focus will be on helping clients set treasury goals, analyze and quantify tax assets, evaluate tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts.

What your days will look like:
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver tailored tax advice in a dynamic deals market
  • Develop relationships with clients and junior team members
  • Consult with specialists across tax and broader networks, including Transaction Services and international teams
  • Participate in business development activities to identify and explore new opportunities
This role is for you if:
  • You can build strong internal and external relationships within the UK and internationally
  • You possess effective communication skills, including negotiation and influence
  • You have strong analytical, project management, and report-writing skills
  • You are inquisitive and adept at solving problems within diverse teams
  • You can apply tax technical knowledge in a fast-paced, commercial environment
  • You hold an accounting or tax qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI, ATT, CTA) or equivalent work experience, including international candidates qualifying through experience in their home country
