Our well-established client, a franchised dealership in Exeter, is seeking a Dealership Accountant to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the General Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly and welcoming team during a successful and exciting time for the company.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA Qualified, but our client is willing to consider candidates with relevant experience in the role. Motor trade experience within an accountant position is preferred but not essential.

Main duties for this Dealership Accountant include:

1. Manage the day-to-day accounting tasks
2. Handle payable/receivable accounts
3. Chase vehicle creditors and debtors
4. Handle bank reconciliations
5. Prepare company budgets
6. Provide regular figures to track branch performance
7. Manage cash flow of the business
8. Process PAYE and HMRC documents
9. Reconcile warranty
10. Analyze financial data and prepare reports
11. Collaborate with management on strategies for growth and profitability
12. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including financial audits
13. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making

Candidate requirements:

• Fully AAT qualified or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role, with knowledge of the automotive industry
• Knowledge of Pinnacle software is desirable
