Job summary

Sense Scotland in Coatbridge seeks a dedicated Support Worker to assist individuals who are deafblind and have complex support needs. This role involves 1:1 or 2:1 support at home and in the community, helping clients lead meaningful lives and achieve personal goals.

You will provide practical support across daily tasks, companionship, and liaise with families and professionals to ensure high‑quality care. A valid UK driving licence is essential for this driver‑essential post.

Qualifications

• Driver essential post; must hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to drive a work vehicle.
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, household tasks, medication administration, meal preparation, and financial support
• Offering companionship and meaningful interactions
• Liaising with families and professionals to ensure the highest quality of care
• Promoting independence and individuality in line with each individual's Support Plan
• Recording daily activities and maintaining accurate records
• Collaborating with the staff team, families, and the people we support to ensure clear communication and consistency of care
