Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Glasgow is seeking a proactive De-Icing Coordinator to lead de-icing operations for aircraft and liaise with customer airlines. You will ensure compliance with de-icing/anti-icing standards and manage essential documentation related to procedures, training materials, quality control and fluid management.

You will supervise de-icing staff, monitor fluid stocks and equipment, and support safety, security and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in de-icing operations.
• Full 5-year work/unemployment/education history.
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
• Full UK Driving Licence or valid passport.
• Criminal Record Check and Airside Security Clearance (we will assist in this process)

Responsibilities

• Ensure flights are De/Anti-Iced in accordance with Menzies Aviation, aircraft manufacturers and airline specs.
• Support Duty Managers/Ops Supervisors with allocation of de-icing staff and rigs.
• Manage the performance of de-icing staff through coaching and feedback; investigate accidents/incidents as required.
• Manage and monitor fluid stocks, fluid batching, deliveries and compliance.
• Oversee calibration and functionality of equipment including Storage Fluid, Transfer lines, Pumps and Refractometers.

Role Purpose

As a De-Icing Coordinator, you will be the focal point of contact for aircraft de-icing with customer airlines. Delivering high performance standards, you will be involved in the preparation and maintenance of all documentation associated with the provision of de/anti-icing activities, including procedures, relevant training materials, quality control and fluid management records, audit reports and risk assessments.

What you will be doing

• Ensuring that flights are De/Anti-Iced in accordance with Menzies Aviation, aircraft manufacturers and airline specifications.
• Supporting Duty Managers / Ops Supervisors with allocation of de-icing staff and rigs.
• Managing the performance of de-icing staff in conjunction with line managers, through coaching and feedback and the investigation of accidents and incidents as required.
• Managing and monitoring fluid stocks, fluid batching, deliveries and compliance.
• Overseeing the calibration and functionality of all relevant equipment to include Storage Fluid, Transfer lines, Pumps and Refractometers.
