About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with DCS experience to join our team. The role involves providing technical systems expertise and support to Asset, TAR, and Projects teams, ensuring legal compliance, and helping achieve INEOS OPUK business goals. Responsibilities include asset care (design, maintenance, upgrades, modifications), defending systems against cyber threats, and assisting with recovery during major incidents to maximize plant availability.

The successful candidate may be required to participate in the DCS on-call rota, depending on skill set and experience. The role is contingent upon a satisfactory Criminal Record check.

Please note: You must hold (or be working towards) a full UK driving licence for this role.

About You

You should have:

  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Experience in DCS system design and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively and resolve complex technical issues
  • Ability to interpret advanced technical instructions and data, and implement technological improvements
  • Experience interfacing with third-party design contractors and vendors

You may also have:

  • Knowledge of computer networking
  • Experience with backup and recovery processes
  • Ability to monitor and maintain control/automation systems for safe and reliable plant operation
  • Skills to analyze and understand cross-discipline (Process, I/E) problems/requests
  • Ability to provide technical expertise for peer reviews and project improvements to meet business requirements
  • Experience providing construction and commissioning services for automation projects
