ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with DCS experience to provide technical systems expertise and support our Asset, TAR, and Projects teams. The role involves ensuring legal compliance, supporting system security against cyber threats, and assisting with recovery during major incidents to maximize plant availability. Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, upgrading, and modifying assets and systems.

The successful candidate may be required to participate in an on-call rota, depending on experience, and must pass a Criminal Record check.

Please note: a full UK driving licence (or working towards one) is required for this role.

ABOUT YOU

You should have:

  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Experience in DCS system design and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively and solve complex technical problems
  • Capability to understand and implement advanced technical instructions and data
  • Experience interfacing with third-party contractors and vendors

You may also have:

  • Knowledge of computer networking
  • Experience with backup and recovery processes
  • Ability to monitor and maintain control/automation systems for safe and reliable plant operation
  • Skill in analyzing cross-disciplinary issues (Process, I/E)
  • Ability to provide technical peer reviews and support project improvements
  • Experience supporting construction and commissioning of automation projects
