Job summary

Airedale by Modine in Leeds is seeking a DC Systems Commissioning Support Engineer to join the Systems & Lifecycle Management team. You will be the key link between Commissioning and Project managers, Commissioning engineers and internal management to ensure commissioning activities are executed effectively.

The successful candidate will have solid HVAC/ BMS experience in data centres, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple requirements simultaneously while supporting

Qualifications

• Previous experience within HVAC, BMS and HVAC controls in a data centre environment.
• Strong product knowledge of Airedale products.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Good fault-finding abilities and ability to prioritise multiple jobs.

Responsibilities

• Remote Support for Commissioning Engineers and fault-finding assistance.
• Develop and implement health and safety standards through process improvements.
• Produce risk & method statements for site works.
• Audit equipment, PPE, tooling and processes.
• Assist with quality and warranty resolutions.
• Support resourcing of commissioning engineers per requests.
• Develop site visit report templates and processing.
• Support new starters and development of engineers.
• Collect project-specific information and organize parts delivery.
• Collaborate with the wider team to boost efficiency and meet targets.

Position Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a DC Systems Commissioning Support Engineer to work as part of the Systems & Lifecycle Management team reporting to the Head of System Commissioning. The DC Systems Commissioning Support Engineer will act as the key link between Commissioning and Project managers, Commissioning engineers and internal management, ensuring through there support commissioning activities are executed effectively.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of HVAC equipment, System Controls, BMS Systems, excellent organisational skills and the ability support multiple requirements simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Support for Commissioning Engineers, including assistance with fault finding and trouble shooting
• Drive and implement Health and safety standards though process improvement
• Produces risk & method statements for site works
• Engineer Audits (Equipment Calibration, PPE, Tooling, Processes)
• Assist with Quality and Warranty solution
• Assist with resourcing of Commissioning engineers in line with the CxM and PM requests
• Development of site visit report templates, SVR processing and actioning
• Support of new starters and development of new engineers
• Collection of project specific information
• Project support in organising replacement parts including arranging delivery
• Actively work with the wider team to increase efficiency to achieve department targets

Required Education & Qualifications

Essential

• Previous experience within HVAC, BMS and HVAC controls in a data centre environment.
• Strong Airedale product knowledge
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Good understanding of fault-finding.
• Ability to support multiple jobs and priorities simultaneously.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, customers and management.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, excel and medius.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding priorities and escalation.

Desirable

• Experience coordinating engineers or field-based service teams.
• Experience working with SAP
• Experience using Medius or other resource planning tool
• Relevant HVAC, BMS, controls, electrical or mechanical qualifications.
