Job summary

B&M Retail is seeking a Security Officer for our Distribution Centre in Runcorn. This 36-hour night-shift role runs Thursday to Saturday, 18:30–06:30, with opportunities to grow in a fast-moving logistics environment.

The ideal candidate will be vigilant, assertive and a team player with strong security experience, good written communication and knowledge of Excel. An SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar security role.
• Good written communication and Excel skills.
• Understanding of data protection and health & safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Control all access of the site.
• Booking vehicles in and out of the site.
• Incident report writing.
• Vehicle and colleague searches.
• Quick response where security intervention is needed.
• Internal and External patrols completed throughout shifts.
• Daily and Weekly audits completed.
• Willingness to engage in physical activity as required by the job.

We are currently looking for a Security Officer to be part of the Security Department in our Distribution Centre based in Runcorn. The ideal candidates will be passionate about Security, with a good understanding of the industry. 36 hour position available for Night Shifts. Set shift pattern Thursday - Saturday 18:30pm - 06:30am.

Ideal Candidates Will Be Able To Demonstrate

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate experience in a similar role, with strong written communication abilities, and knowledge in Microsoft Excel. A good understanding of Data Protection laws and Health & Safety regulations is preferred, along with experience in conflict management and incident reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong, resilient personality and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism. While an SIA Licence is desirable, it is not essential.
