Job summary

Kindred is recruiting a cleaner based in Rayne, Braintree. Duties include dusting, vacuuming, sanitising surfaces and replenishing supplies in an educational building. You will perform general and periodic deep-cleaning tasks, operate cleaning equipment safely and report any hazards. A DBS check is required.

Role requires reliable, independent workers able to meet fixed shift timings, with a focus on high cleanliness standards and adherence to COSHH regulations.

Qualifications

• Able to complete the physical demands of the role with reasonable adjustments.
• To follow written and spoken instructions and work safely on their own.
• Complete tasks within a specified timeframe.
• Ability to communicate in English (not required as first language).
• Willingness to work fixed shift timings.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly.
• Replenishing soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (carpets, floor polishing).
• Using cleaning equipment safely and storing after use.
• Reporting maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
