The role spans 50+ subsystems across mainframes and geographies, with hybrid work setup and mandatory onsite presence. You will install, test, and maintain Db2 versions, manage security and DR plans, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure data integrity and efficient operations.
Qualifications
DB2 for z/OS experience is essential.
CICS OLTP familiarity.
Automation experience to improve maintenance.
Security, disaster recovery and GDPR awareness.
Responsibilities
Install and test new Db2 versions and maintain Db2 tooling.
Support distributed Db2 connections across mainframes/geographies.
Engineer automation solutions to stabilize Db2/ CICS environments.
Plan and monitor databases, perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
Ensure storage, archiving and data retention procedures function correctly.
Manage database security and disaster recovery plans, including backup testing.
Communicate with technical and operations teams to ensure data integrity and security.
Define user requirements and monitor access controls.
Provide development and production support including incident management.
Apply Agile practices and maintain relationships with teams and customers.
Keep abreast of new technology developments and pursue continuing professional development.
Consider GDPR and information legislation in database activities.
