Job summary

Hollybank School is seeking a Day Time Support Assistant to join our dedicated team, helping children and young people with complex physical and learning disabilities to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role focuses on wellbeing, personal care, nutrition and independence, within a multidisciplinary team that supports pupils to develop life skills and enjoy their school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people is welcome but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn are important.
• DBS check and safeguarding procedures are part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people throughout the school day.
• Assist with eating, drinking and meeting individual nutritional needs.
• Provide personal care with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Encourage independence, communication and social development.
• Follow care plans and specialist guidance to support wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
• Help create a positive, safe and engaging environment for every child.
