Job summary

Academics Ltd. is seeking reliable Catering Assistants to support busy school kitchens and dining areas across secondary schools in Warrington.

The role focuses on food preparation, serving students and staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness with day-time hours. Ideal candidates will have catering or food service experience, a Food Hygiene Certificate preferred, and an Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, kitchen support, food service, hospitality, or school dining hall environments.
• Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply during registration and ability to commute around Warrington.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation, portioning meals and serving students and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness across kitchen, serving counters and dining areas; sanitize tables and wash up.
• Operate till points accurately during busy break and lunch periods when required.
• Adhere to school health, food hygiene and safety regulations at all times.
