Job summary

Lyndon Hall Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation.

Working with the Chef and team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely, with a supportive environment and opportunities to develop in a busy care kitchen.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation, deliveries, storage and stock organisation.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely.
• Contribute to a consistent kitchen routine and quality across shifts.
