Job summary

Driver Hire Blackburn is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV driver for flatbed steel deliveries in Accrington. You will work regular day shifts with no nights out, delivering steel products across the North West and ensuring safe loading and securing of loads.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 1 (C+E) license, Driver CPC and Tachograph card, with prior steel or flatbed experience. We offer ongoing, full-time work, weekly pay, and full support from our team.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience with steel or flatbed deliveries preferred.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Professional, reliable and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 (C+E) flatbed HGV.
• Deliver steel products with occasional overhanging loads.
• Strap and secure loads to industry standards.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Work Monday to Friday with day shifts and no nights out.
