Job summary

Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Daytime Chef de Partie to join our team at Whipsnade Zoo. You will be a key part of the kitchen, delivering high-quality food to thousands of visitors each day in a fast-paced, unique setting.

You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, take responsibility for a section during service, ensure food safety and allergen procedures, and help with stock control and waste reduction. No evening or split shifts guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up.
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food to a high standard in line with menu specifications.
• Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Taking responsibility for a section during service.
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures are followed at all times.
• Supporting stock control, food rotation, and waste reduction.
• Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
