Job summary

Argyll and Bute Council is seeking an Assistant Social Care Worker for day shifts in the Health and Social Care Partnership. This part-time role supports a named individual with person-centred care and activities under a key worker’s supervision.

You will assist with personal care, maintain records, and follow care plans, including infection control and moving and handling practices, working flexibly across shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• This advert requires a suitable qualified applicant with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of moving and handling in a residential setting.
• Flexibility to work across shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the key worker with person-centred care planning for named individuals.
• Support individuals with activities and personal tasks.
• Follow care plans, record outcomes and achievements.
• Deliver personal care and some domestic support; shift work and weekends.
• Assist with personal care, showering and hygiene; maintain infection control.
• Assist with communication with family and friends; prepare drinks and snacks.
• Maintain accurate records; work as part of a team or independently.
