Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a confident Day Shift Support Worker for Thistle House in Dundee. You’ll work 42 hours a week on day shifts, delivering outstanding care to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Thistle House provides specialist nursing care focused on independence and community integration, tailoring support to individual needs and helping service users prepare for tenancies.

Qualifications

• Genuine care-driven mindset with a desire to make a difference.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and with care staff.
• Sensitive and intuitive to support independence and wellbeing.
• PVG check required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care and support to people in our care.
• Offer physical and emotional support with patience.
• Learn individual needs and tailor assistance accordingly.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs as required.
• Record and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.

We are looking for a confident Day Shift Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care. Youll be working42hours a week (Day shifts), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Thistle House. Thistle House is a care home with nursing for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those with mental health or physical health needs. We provide specialist nursing care and support that is tailored to individual needs, promoting independence, community integration and preparing them for their own tenancies.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs
• Report on medical & welfare needs as required
• Safeguard Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
