Job summary

Diodes Incorporated in Greenock is seeking a dayshift Facilities Technician to support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site facilities infrastructure for the manufacturing plant.

You will join the Facilities Maintenance team, with opportunities to work across multiple systems. The role suits candidates from pipefitting, plumbing, electrical or mechanical backgrounds, and full training will be provided. Hours are 08:30–17:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised technical apprenticeship.
• Experience in an engineering environment (installation, maintenance, repair).
• Understanding of safety systems and Permit to Work (on-site training provided).
• Familiarity with working in industrial plant rooms.
• Good problem-solving ability to identify, correct and prevent faults.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, maintenance, monitoring and manipulation of plant systems and equipment.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of facilities services to the manufacturing plant.
• Work as part of the Facilities Technicians Operations and Maintenance team and participate in cross-functional activities.
• Be physically fit to perform active role and work within a 40-hour week (Mon–Fri, 08:30–17:00).
• On-site training to gain understanding and competence on site Facilities systems.
