Shift Manager Role

The Shift Manager reports to the Operations Manager and oversees all aspects of the daily shift operation, ensuring it is cost-effective and productive. The role involves ensuring service levels meet agreed standards and managing team performance to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the warehousing operations during the shift, ensuring effective and accurate sorting of goods.
  2. Ensure all activities comply with company policies and are conducted safely and proactively.
  3. Manage costs and performance metrics of the shift.
  4. Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.
  5. Manage team performance, conduct, attendance, engagement, training, and development, holding team members accountable to standards.
  6. Monitor KPIs, identify improvement actions, and communicate these to the team.
  7. Provide shift summaries and handover reports, noting any exceptions and actions taken.
Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience in logistics or distribution industries.
