Job summary

Stagecoach Barnstaple is recruiting a Bus/PSV Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards at the Pottington industrial estate depot.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, carry out servicing and roadside repairs, and mentor apprentices as part of a supportive depot team. We offer training, overtime opportunities, and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles.
• Safe and detail-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

Salary

Pay rate of £20.27 per hour for days engineer (Monday- Friday totalling 39 hours a week). Enhanced rate of pay for overtime.

Bus/PSV Mechanic

Based at our Barnstaple depot, located at Pottington industrial estate.

What we're looking for:

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Hands‑on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
• A safety‑first attitude and strong attention to detail
• A team player with good communication skills
• Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles (desirable)
