Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd in Essex is seeking a skilled PSV Engineer for an afternoon shift. You will maintain, diagnose and repair buses and coaches to ensure road readiness and DVSA compliance, helping keep transport services running smoothly.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00-22:00 with no weekends. The role offers £25 per hour plus overtime, a 40-hour week, 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, a pension, and wellbeing support to sustain career development and work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 PSV/HGV maintenance and repair required.
• Experience in heavy vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
• Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and preventative maintenance on buses and coaches.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Prepare vehicles for MOTs and perform quality inspections.
• Carry out reactive repairs and support roadside assistance.
• Maintain accurate service records and uphold safety standards.

Are you a skilled PSV Engineer looking for a steady weekday role with excellent benefits?

We're looking for dedicated professionals to help keep our clients' fleet of buses and coaches running safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

About the Role

As a PSV Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles to ensure they're road-ready and compliant with DVSA standards. You'll play a key role in keeping our transport services running smoothly and reliably.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00 (no weekends!)

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Bring
