Job summary

Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd partners with a well-invested industrial processing business in the UK to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their Brough site. This hands-on role requires strong electrical expertise in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults on PLCs and instrumentation, and share knowledge to upskill the team while contributing to maintenance strategy improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering within an industrial/process plant environment.
• Strong fault-finding with control panels, PLCs and instrumentation.
• Good Health and Safety awareness.
• Able to work alone or in a small team in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across plant machinery and equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical faults, especially on PLC control systems and instrumentation.
• Supporting the wider team by sharing expertise and upskilling junior engineers.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of PPM strategies and engineering projects.
• Operating safely and responsibly in a demanding environment, with respect for safety standards and operational efficiency.

We're working with a well-invested industrial processing business that has recently undergone major upgrades. They're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary maintenance team. The Opportunity:

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across plant machinery and equipment
• Diagnosing electrical faults, especially on PLC control systems and instrumentation

About You:

• Solid experience in electrical engineering within an industrial/process plant environment
• Strong skills in fault finding and working with control panels, PLCs, Variable Speed Drives and instrumentation
• Must have good Health and Safety Awareness
• A true team player and be able to work both alone and part of a small team
• The ability to work effectively in challenging conditions (odours, oil residues, corrosive environments)
